What Jigging Lure to choose
Target your desired catch by using a lure that resembles what the fish are feeding on: size, shape and colour
When selecting a lure colour or colour combination, you need to consider water clarity and available light
Match your lures with the water colours and weather conditions: bright colours – bright days/clear water; dark colours – overcast/ murky water
Factor in water depth of where you are fishing and how it will affect the colour of the lure. The deeper the depth, the less light penetration and causing some colours to get filtered out
Which Colour is best for you?
Blue - works well in depths
Red - best for shallow clear water
White - suits many settings and more suitable against a dark background
Clear - worthiest in clear waters
Black - noticeable in most conditions
Metallics - work best on sunny days
Fluorescent and UV - increase the visibility of the lure and at depths where colour should be filtered out
